What We Believe
The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the inspired and true Word of God. It alone—not human philosophy, traditions, or opinions—is the truth by which we come to know God, his expectations for our lives, and his plan to give us eternal life.

God: We believe that there is only one true God, who reveals himself to us as three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Our Status Before God: We believe that God requires perfection of all of all who wish to receive eternal life. Because all people fall short of God’s demands, we deserve nothing from God but eternal punishment. But God made a plan to change that.

Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, whom God sent into the world as a man to meet God’s expectations and suffer God’s punishment in our place. He is the Savior of the world, who lived a perfect life, died on a cross, and rose again victorious to give us forgiveness of sins.
Faith: We believe that God the Holy Spirit uses this good news (the Gospel) of God’s plan to save us and two special sacred rites, Baptism and Holy Communion, to create and nourish faith in our hearts to trust that Jesus is our Savior. Through that faith, God gives us the forgiveness and eternal life that Jesus won for us as a free and undeserved gift.

We'd love to share the love of Jesus with you and the absolute certainty of faith that is ours and yours through Christ alone.

Lamb of God Lutheran Church walks together with other congregations in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).  You can find a more thorough explanation of the truths that we believe and teach in our Catechism as well as in “This We Believe,” (which is a statement of the beliefs of all the congregations that walk together in our fellowship).
